Janis Joplin Kozmic Blues T Shirt
A beautiful tie dye Janis Joplin t-shirt featuring her Kozmic Blues hit. Janis sang this hit on Saturday August 16, 1969 at the Woodstock Music festival. A high quality tee dyed on a heavy weight blank and using cotton stitching. So why care about cotton stitching? Cotton stitching absorbs the dye also unlike nylon stitching that other sites offer at lower pricing. Our shirts are also 6.1 oz cotton which is heavy weight and will last many machine washes in cold water. While this page is about a shirt, I must say that we all miss the raspy soulful voice of Janis. She was denied a contract initially due to her coarse voice, but my what a miss by some. I still hear her voice singing with the soul that only the gifted singers can express. While she died in an unfortunate way, I still listen to her great music and wonder at what could have been. A young scared insecure girl from Port Arthur, TX who left us with so many memories and music but died at the age of 27. I can see her now in the clouds with Hendrix and Marvin cooking up songs we cannot wait to hear.
